Winchester mystery house

Built by Sarah Winchester after her husband, a gun magnate, died in 1881, this mansion has always been said to be haunted by the ghosts of people killed by Winchester rifles. Driven by a foretold need to build a massive home to house these spirits and fueled by a massive inheritance, Sarah Winchester kept the house in a state of perpetual construction until she died in 1921. The Winchester Mystery House features staircases that lead nowhere, false doors, uneven stairs, beautiful stained-glass windows and enough security cameras to scare anyone. Like any good haunted California landmark, it features some palm trees and is located right next to a shopping center, which in this case is Santana Row.

Hicks road

It’s not exactly clear what actually happens on Hicks Road in San Jose, but the rumors are as endless as the road’s curves. Hicks Road runs alongside Guadalupe Creek until it reaches the Guadalupe Reservoir and runs through farms and ranches and forms the border of Almaden Quicksilver County Park.
Running through an area formerly inhabited by mines, Hicks Road possesses a quaint charm and a variety of strange stories. There are reports of ghostly joggers running along the road at night, as well as a strangely popular tale about a small village entirely populated by albinos who chase trespassers off with guns.
Hicks Road is so spooky that it even has its very own indie horror film based on it, and it is the subject of frequent discussion on local online conspiracy forums.

Drawbridge

Located on an island near Alviso, the town of Drawbridge is currently sinking into the marshes of the Bay. Drawbridge was a small town from the 1880s to 1979, when the town’s last resident was reported to have died. Now, it’s completely abandoned and derelict and serves as a place for people to leave spooky graffiti.
